Components on the armature of DC and AC commutator motors

Commutator, also known as "rectifier". An important component on the armature of DC motors and AC commutator motors. Many copper sheets separated by mica sheets form a cylindrical or disc-shaped structure, and each copper sheet is connected to several armature winding components. When the armature rotates, the copper plates come into contact with the fixed electric brushes one after another. In a DC motor, the alternating current in the armature winding is converted into direct current between the brushes through brushes and commutators. In AC commutator motors, ensure that the frequency of the alternating current between the brushes meets the working requirements.
